Instructions for using psPeeker and psPoker:

|
|
To start, it's latee, and I'm out of it, so these instructions will most likely not be up to snuff, and I can guaruntee the software will be buggy. I'll fix them in the morning...
|
|
|
|
|
|
Requirements:
|
|
PS3 devkit on, connected and running GTA:O
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. First, run psPeeker. This can be done by building the VS project, or executing .\psPeeker\psPeeker\bin\Debug\psPeeker.exe
|
|
2. A console window will open up and ask for your current wallet value. Type in the amount of cash your character has
|
|
3. Hit enter, the game will pause momentarily while the memory is scanned. This could take a few minutes, depending on your network connection. WARNING: DO NOT SEARCH FOR 0. It finds too many addresses and runs out of memory.
|
|
4. Once the game resumes, change the amount of cash. I'm sure you can figure out a way how
|
|
5. Enter the new cash value into the prompt, hit enter.
|
|
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have about 5-6 numbers being displayed
|
|
7. Run psPoker
|
|
8. When prompted for an address, enter one of the values printed by Peeker
|
|
9. Next prompt, enter a value for the wallet.
|
|
10. Keep repeating 8 and 9 until you see the GREEN cash value change. One of those addresses holds the "old" value of the wallet, and show the difference in red, but not change the wallet amount.

|
|
|
Hope that works for you, I've tried it through a couple resets here. Will fix everything up, including these directions, in the morning.

Repro'ing the mod:
|
|
|
|
BEFORE modding your cash, let's say you have $X combined in your wallet and bank.
|
|
After modding the cash amount, attempt to purchase anything that costs more than $X. No money will be subtracted, and no earn event created. |
